We had our
Connection
Center meeting last night and everyone was
asked
“what am I here for” today and the question resonated in my mind.
компютри втора употреба It didn’t take very long to respond and I felt confident in my answer, “because I love the Lord Jesus Christ”. I am here to serve Him, giving my time and compassion to others.
I can honestly say that I have seen so many changes since I was called to serve in this ministry.
I have heard stories of hardship, heartache, broken marriages, feeling lost and alone to stories of redemption, recovery, and rebirth. I have seen people rededicate their lives to the Lord and become stronger in their faith and beliefs.
The transformation that this ministry has had is truly the work of our heavenly Father.
This Church is lead by the Lord; he is in control of everything.
The people that fill these halls each weekend come for a greater purpose than to see what color shoes Pastor Gene has on this time.
They come to gather and have fellowship with others who were lost but now are found.
To mend a hurt or rebuild a marriage. To seek guidance and direction in their lives.
Watching people “experience The gathering”, seeing what is at work in our ministry and being apart of something so much bigger than I am is “what I am here for”.
Now the question is “what are you here for”?
The next Foundations Class is your opportunity to find out more about our church and what we believe. If you are new to our church or have questions about what it means to belong to The Gathering, please sign up for our next Foundations Class. It is scheduled for April 27th at 10 AM in the pavilion.
The next “Evening with Gene and Karen” will be Sunday evening, May 18th 2008 at 6:00 pm. This evening includes dinner in an intimate setting with our Pastor and his wife, Karen.
